The Symposium "Miner's
Week" is considered one of the most important sites for the mining
industry development: here they present the latest developments, in disputes
and discussions with colleagues from universities and enterprises polish their
assumptions, demonstrate inventions, talk about plans. This forum is considered
one of the milestones that determine the potential of the Russian, and for some
positions - and the world - mountain science.
In 2016, experts from
more than 30 countries announced their interest in the event, including the
world's leading developers and producers of mining and mining industries. More
than 100 rectors of leading Russian and foreign universities, more than 300
representatives of business came to the event.
The meeting of the
Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the problems of mining
sciences and the use of explosions for national economic purposes was timed to
the "Miner's Week". In addition, within the framework of the forum, a
meeting of the Council of the Federal Educational and Methodological
Association in the system of higher education for a large group of specialties
and areas of training was held: applied geology, mining, oil and gas business
and geodesy.
Among the speakers of
the forum were: the rector of NUST "MISiS" A.A. Chernikov, professor,
member of the International Scientific Council of the NUST "MISiS",
chairman of the board of directors and scientific supervisor of the NPK
"Mekhanobr-technika", Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of
Sciences L.A. Vaisberg, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
Chairman of the Scientific Council on Problems of Mineral Extraction, V.A.
Chanturia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other well-known
scientists.
The program of the
symposium included exhibitions, seminars, round tables on mining and oil and
gas field geology, geophysics, surveying, geomechanics, geotechnology,
geoinformatics, geoecology, rock enrichment, mining machines and metallurgy.
Separately, attention was paid to the problems of rock destruction, mine
aerogasdynamics, the problem of economics and management of mining.
